Finishing the installation 1

   Take the wedi base element and note that it has a plastic insert prefabricated into the upper surface (near right). There is also a metal load distribution plate on the underside.

    Now you can start to install the exclusive wedi Fundo Drain. You can see how the parts fit together if you click the drain diagram link. Insert the 'O' ring seal in the groove on the insert (near right).


  Note that the Main Sealing Collar has a solid rubber section. Offer this face up to the underside of the Fundo unit so it locates against the plate that is embedded in the unit (left).

Key:

   At the same time, insert the screw-threaded Clamping Collar from the upper side of the Fundo (see right).

   Now you can tighten the two components together with the aid of the cap-tool. Ensure that the seal is tight between each part and the Fundo base.
