Coat the underside of the Fundo base with cement-based
flexible adhesive to a minimum thickness of 4-5mm.
It is important that no adhesive gets onto the
main sealing collar - leave a gap of 2.5mm (see right).
Position the Fundo over the drain very carefully
(lower right). Push the main sealing unit into the drain body
until you are satisfied that the two are fully connected and the
base unit is firmly bedded down onto the sub-floor with the adhesive
(above right).
Level out as required and leave the cap-tool
in place until tiling of the base begins.
It is recommended that an evenly-distributed
weight of 3 kg be placed on the unit while the adhesive dries.
Join the Fundo to the surrounding area with wedi Waterproof
Sealing Tape using the appropriate waterproof adhesive (below)
