wedi Fundo VBK Round and Spiral Shower Kits

The new wedi Fundo VBK Round and Spiral Walk-in shower cabins allow designers total freedom when positioning the shower unit.

These combined base and wall kits can now be placed absolutely anywhere in the bathroom or home spa, thanks to the special pre-fabricated panels which are integrated and concealed within the wall sections.

These panels support pipework, control valves, shower heads and rails. The main support panel is then covered with a section of wedi Tilebacker Board, while the secondary support panel is integrated within a wall section.

Since abutment to a solid wall is no longer required, designers can now realise all the exciting possibilities of the "free-standing shower enclosure" concept. And when assembling the pre-fabricated wall sections a variety of locations for the shower fixings themselves can be achieved.

The special VBK support panels are capable of supporting loads of up to 90kg, and destructive tests have shown the material to be far superior in terms of durability and loading compared to other established materials (eg. MDF)

The Kits

The Fundo VBK Round and Spiral units are complete kits consisting of a set-to-fall base and pre-curved wall sections which are special adhesive bonded to the outer edge of the base.

The wall sections are each tongue and groove jointed, bonded with the special adhesive and the joints strengthened with wedi tape.

The kits contain everything that's needed for the construction of the units, including a sealed 48L/minute capacity drain (horizontal or vertical, to be specified).
