FUNDOS ARE PINNACLE OF STYLE AT APEX

One hundred and sixteen specially designed Wedi Fundo walk - in shower base systems have just been installed at the Apex City London, a stylish new hotel right next to the Tower of London.

Apex City Hotels is an award winning concept of four star contemporary chic city hotels. The Apex City London, which opened in October 2005, is a 130 bedroom conversion of an existing office building at No1 Seething Lane in the heart of the city.

Ian Springford Architects of Edinburgh specified Wedi Fundos because they wanted
chic, walk-in tiled showers to match the contemporary feel of their overall design.

The tailor made 1500 x 800mm Fundos were fixed on a special Wedi 100mm support base which had been pre-machined to support the horizontal Wedi Fundo drains.The bases were then cut on site to take the 2” ABS waste pipe runs to the SVPs. The bases were then tiled in 50mm mosaics.

The Fundos were installed by Glasgow based M& E Contractor ECG Group Ltd., and the main contractors are Keir.
