The popular wedi Fundo range has been extended with the exciting option of a linear drain - and already it has won the prestigious international iF Product Design Award.
A consistent gradient towards the channel is built into the Fundo in the factory. The channel drain has three cover plate options in high quality stainless steel, 40mm wide and 800mm long.
The shower water drains away through a narrow gap between the cover plate and the adjacent lining, avoiding the need for a frame to hold the cover plate.
There are no gratings, slits or drain holes and the cover plate height can be adjusted to match the widest possible range of tiles and natural stone coverings from 3mm to 20mm thicknesses.
There is a 20mm thick side walling to the drainage area to provide a straight joint connection to the adjacent screed in concrete floor applications. These walls can be trimmed off for flush connection of the unit to adjacent walls.
All joints must be sealed using wedi Sealing Tape fixed in a flexible cement-based adhesive.
