Using wedi Tilebacker building board
Using wedi building board products represents excellent value for the customer
because jobs are completed with less disruption and greater speed of
construction. This is possible because the boards are more than a surface for
tiling - they form structural elements of the project, strong and yet easily
shaped.
A whole stage of the building process is removed but the result is just as
strong.

For instance - if you are building a new bathroom - just cut
and join the wedi building board to form supporting structures
such as vanity units, shower partitions (see Nib Wall) or load-bearing steps.
use wedi Nonstep on the floor to give you sound deadening
qualities as well as excellent tiling performance in wet conditions.

Dealing with curves? wedi BA Construct
building board is now available pre-cut either widthwise or
lengthwise to make the job easy.

 |
Use wedi tape and cement-based tile adhesive
to reinforce all cuts, joints and corners. Then you can apply
tiles to finish the construction.

 |
Uneven walls? Just fix wedi Tilebacker Building Board using
dabs of adhesive. After the adhesive has cured, drive in our
plastic or metal dowels. Now the glass-fibre reinforced polymer
modified cement mortar surface of the board is ready to take
your tiles.
There are a range of connectors, anchors and other
fixings (see Fixing Guide) to help with building free-standing wedi structures or to fix to
existing structures.
