Building a Vanity Unit

It's easy to make a double vanity unit from wedi Building Board without any timber framework. Stick two sections of 50mm together, sandwiching wedisteck® RK connectors between them for fixing to the wall and floor.

In the same way, two sheets of 50mm are stuck together for the washstand top, and fixed on the supports with adhesive. This will give a good facing depth to receive your tiles

It is easy to mark the outlines of the two basins and then cut out with a keyhole saw.

All joints must be reinforced with wedi tape, secured with a flexible cement-based adhesive. In the case of a vanity unit, it is advisable to use wedi waterproof tape which is designed for wet areas subject to persistent water contact.
